Generations Show

Friday night I had the pleasure of attending the opening of the Generations Show at the Side Door Gallery in downtown Dexter. Four families and the artists within were featured. I was honored to show recent work alongside some of my mother's prints from her archives.

I'd like to thank Mary of The Dexter Picture Frame Company for including us in the show and the work that she did to pull it all together. I'd really like to thank my wonderful husband Mark and my oldest son Matthew for attending the opening with me (my son works at the frame shop so he was working that night!).

I'd also like to thank my office colleague Gabriella for bringing her family out and introducing me to her youngest who is an aspiring artist. My sister-in-law Deb and her husband Joe also made the effort despite terrible traffic (who would have thought that over Memorial Day weekend?!), and who we enjoyed an impromptu post-show trip to the Bistro Renaissance for tapas. It was great to catch up!

I'd also like to thank the gentleman who purchased "Evanesce", I'm deeply honored that you wanted to add this piece to your collection.

The show will be up through the month of June -- come take a look if you have a moment: TheSideDoorGallery.com
